Who I Am
I’m Chris Choma, the creator and host of Chris Explores the Gospels and Gospel Snacks with Chris. I love helping people encounter Scripture in a way that feels clear, grounded, and deeply personal. Whether you’re driving to work, walking the dog, or taking a quiet moment to breathe, my hope is that these reflections help you meet Christ in the Gospels.
My Approach
My style is simple: thoughtful reflection, vivid storytelling, and a calm, invitational tone. I’m not here to overwhelm anyone with theology. I’m here to walk with people—one short episode at a time—into a deeper relationship with Jesus.
My Journey Back to the Church
After several years away, I returned to the Catholic Church as an adult and completed RCIA to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. That experience gave me a deep empathy for anyone exploring, questioning, or rediscovering the faith. Today, I teach OCIA at my parish and accompany the Children’s Choir on guitar—two places where I see the beauty of faith lived out in community.
Ministry & Service
I serve as a member of Spirit of Truth Radio Arts, a Catholic media apostolate dedicated to evangelization through radio and digital content. I’m also an active member and Spiritual Guide with ACTS CT, a statewide ministry serving men, women, and teens through retreats, community, and prayer. In addition to these ministries, I am a contributing writer Catholic365, where I publish reflections on Scripture, discipleship, and the world behind the Gospels.
Across every project, my hope is simple: to offer moments of clarity, encouragement, and encounter—helping others discover the beauty of the Gospel in the midst of everyday life.
Wherever you are on your faith journey, you’re welcome here. If you’d like to explore the Gospels with me, start with the latest episode or check out the latest blog or read my latest article.
I’ll be praying for you, please pray for me, and may God’s Peace be with you.

My Mission
My mission is to make the Gospels accessible to anyone — whether they’re lifelong believers, returning after time away, or simply curious. I want to help people slow down, breathe, and rediscover the presence of God in the ordinary rhythms of life.
How This Ministry Began
This ministry began as a small personal project — a way for me to share the insights, stories, and moments of grace I was discovering in my own prayer and study. Over time, it grew. I realized that so many people long for Scripture to feel understandable and alive, but don’t always know where to begin. So I started recording short reflections and writing brief essays, trusting that God would use them to reach whoever needed them. And He has.
Core Values
Clarity — Scripture should be understandable, not intimidating.
Compassion — Everyone is on a unique journey; no one walks alone.
Authenticity — Real stories, real questions, real faith.
Hope — Every episode aims to lift the heart and steady the soul.
Presence — God meets us in the ordinary moments of our day.
Behind the Mic
When I’m not recording, you’ll usually find me outdoors — fly fishing, kayaking, snowshoeing, or hiking with my dogs. Nature has always been a place where I feel close to God. I’m also a husband and father of two adult daughters, whose encouragement and wisdom shape much of my creative work.
